Bernd Richard Wehmeyer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bernd Wehmeyer at his home on July 6, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born in Detmold, Germany to Richard and Gerda Wehmeyer, Bernd emigrated to Canada and worked for the Royal Canadian Airforce until he retired. His strong work ethic moved him to the private sector where he worked right up to his passing.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Dolores, of over 47 years.

He leaves behind his children Mark (Aya), Ryan and Melissa. He will be fondly missed by his treasured grandchildren Makiya, Sho, Hiro, Liam, Ellyanna, and Ethan.

Dear brother of Peter Wehmeyer (Tegan Hull) and their daughter, Emerson; Liz (Stefano Gabaldo) and their children Alex and Max; and Kay Wehmeyer.

In memory of Bernd, donations made to Southlake Health would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
