It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carolyn Patricia Paul on June 18, 2026, at the age of 73. Carolyn passed away in her sleep at Margaret Bahen Hospice in Newmarket, surrounded by care and compassion.
Carolyn is now reunited with her beloved husband, Gilbert Paul, who predeceased her in 2024.
She was the cherished and devoted mother of Anthony Paul and Adam DiFiori, and a proud and loving Nana to Jessie, Taylor, and Jayden Paul. Carolyn was the dear sister of Rita Borges and a loving aunt to Gabriel, Jeremy, and Gregory Borges. She was also a proud great-aunt and eagerly anticipated the arrival of another great-niece or great-nephew expected in August.
Carolyn leaves behind her dearest friend, Lidia Cirivello, and the entire Cirivello family, whose friendship, love, and support meant so much to her throughout her life.
Well known throughout the Bradford, Newmarket, and Keswick communities, Carolyn spent many years owning and operating H&R Block, where she built lasting relationships while helping countless individuals and families with their tax needs. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help others earned her the respect and friendship of many.
Carolyn embraced life to the fullest. She was an avid world traveler, the life of every party, and someone who brought laughter and joy wherever she went. She especially loved spending time at the casino, enjoying the excitement, companionship, and fun that came with every visit. Her vibrant personality, generous spirit, and love of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carolyn's life at M.W. Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Queensville Cemetery.
Carolyn's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
If desired, donations made to Alzheimer's Society of York Region or Margaret Bahen Hospice in Carolyn's memory would be greatly appreciated.
