After a long, productive and happy life, Catherine Mae Card has gone to meet her Lord and to reunite with departed family members. She was predeceased by husbands Walter Farmer and Ken Card. She will be missed by son Ric (Jean), and daughters Dawn, Georgette and Lynn, as well as seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Cathy derived a lot of pleasure roller skating, dancing at Glendale Beach and spending quality time in Florida during the cold winter months. Her philosophy on life was to accept what you cannot change, embrace all beliefs, and to never interfere in her grown children’s lives.
We would like to extend warm and heartfelt thanks to the caring Cedarvale staff, and a special thank you to Lynn O’Neil, who ensured that all was ‘kept in order’ for the past nine years. Thanks also to those who took their time to visit, and to brighten sometimes gloomy days with stories, humour, and often just by their mere presence.
Visitation will be held at the MW Becker Funeral Home, 490 The Queensway South, Keswick on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment at Newmarket Cemetery, 112 Main St. North, Newmarket. In memory of Cathy, donations made to Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge would be appreciated.
