Kevin Douglas Earl Trotter, born on December 25th, 1967, passed away suddenly on July 22nd, 2026 of congestive heart failure. His younger years were spent with our family in Dunnville, Port Elgin and later in Bowmanville. Recently Kevin had been living in Richmond Hill. He was my brother (Deb, Kelly, and Carter). My parents, Doug and Shirley Trotter pre-deceased him. He was also pre-deceased by most of our family members. Kevin is survived by our first cousins - Pam, Alexis, Diane and David.
Kevin packed a lot into his 58 years. Recently on our trip to Mexico with Kevin – he was the happiest we had seen him in years. It is a memory that we will always remember. Kevin had a big heart, he was a hard worker and would do anything for anyone, usually on his own time. Although his life was troubled for many years, during the last few years he had attempted to make peace with his past. Kevin lived his life on his own terms.
Kevin had a kind heart and soul and he LOVED Roxy - she literally saved his life - she was his world. We will all miss Kevin - Roxy, the most. She was his sidekick; they were always together. In the end your big heart took you to heaven to be with mom and dad. We hope you are at peace now Kevin. Love you always. Kevin leaves behind several lifelong friends and some newer ones, our cousins, the Henry family, Uncle Frank, his Keswick family and of course, Roxy. Cremation has taken place. We now have another guardian angel in heaven - Kevin. You will be held in our hearts forever - I will treasure our lifetime of memories, Kevin. Love you always.
In memory of Kevin, donations to Heart and Stroke or your local animal shelter would be appreciated.
