Robert William Bress

September 26, 1962 — April 21, 2025

Passed away peacefully at his home in Keswick, after a battle with cancer, on Monday, April 21, 2025 at the age of 62 years. Dearly loved husband of Sandra Bress (nee De-Foa), for over 36 years. Treasured father of Christopher Bress (Caitlin Tremblay) of Midland, and Kyle Bress (Stephanie) of Warminster. Cherished Poppa of Rowan. Beloved son of William and Linda Bress (nee Powell) of Elmvale. Beloved son-in-law of the late Joseph and Joan De-Foa of Keswick. Dear brother of David Bress (Allison), and uncle to Dayson of Barrie. Dear brother-in-law to Jeff De-Foa (Lynn) of King, Linda De-Foa-Kemp of London, Denise Roy (Mike) of Keswick, and a cherished family member to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Robert will be missed by the family dog, Marley, and by his two grand-puppies, Benny and Sage. Robert will be forever missed by his family, many friends and neighbors.

Rob worked at Purolator Courier for over 35 years.

Rob loved to ski, especially out west in the Rocky Mountains. He loved family camping and canoeing at Silent Lake. He loved playing golf, playing horseshoes, shooting pool, cooking (especially Italian cuisine), and he loved watching cooking shows.

Rob was a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan, who you rarely saw without his Leafs hat on. Rob could always be found wearing his "Jammie" pants, but when he wore jeans or a suit, he always had his well-worn cowboy boots.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Southlake Regional Health Centre, especially to all the nurses, cleaners, support staff and doctors for the care and support given to Robert. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Dr. Joon-Hyung John Kim at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre PMH.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Georgina Ice Palace, 90 Wexford Drive, Keswick (entrance at the back of the arena). A tribute to Rob will take place at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Robert to Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary or Canadian Child Abuse Association.
